What is Shanghaiist? Shanghaiist is the most widely read city blog about the world's most exciting city: Shanghai. Part of the most popular network of city blogs on the internet — the Gothamist network — Shanghaiist is one of the most popular English-language websites about China and is visited by 7,000 people each day, around 220,000 visits a month. Shanghaiist is updated daily by a team of contributors who write about "Shanghai and everything that happens in it." Forbes called Shanghaiist a "sophisticated, deliciously urbane city blog." The New York Times thinks we are "ever-excellent." And Yahoo! said the site contains "the local scoop on Shanghai, including news, commentary, reviews, events, and more." (More about Shanghaiist)

Who reads Shanghaiist? Shanghaiist readers are young, hip and upwardly mobile — the kind of audience advertisers love. The site has become a daily "must read" for thousands of Shanghai residents and "Shanghai watchers" around the globe.

Why advertise on Shanghaiist? Reach thousands of potential customers — the very people who will buy your products, use your services, eat your food, drink your beverages — for a fraction of the price of print publications that target the same audience. Your ad on Shanghaiist can link directly to your home page, allowing you further one-on-one interaction with potential customers.

Why advertise online? Unlike magazines, which can be difficult to find and very easy to lose, our website is always there whenever people log on to the internet. And your ad will always be there, too — on every page of our site.
