Chocolate flavored cheese? Indeed

And here is the product in question, or at least the closest thing we could find to it. Yep, it's chocolate cheese. Based on the packaging, it goes well with lettuce? The appeal of this product is lost on us. If in the mood for cheese, eat cheese. When craving chocolate, go for chocolate. Combining the two just seems wrong. But, then again, we don't like sugar sprinkled on top of our sliced tomatoes or Sprite mixed with our red wine. So we doubt we were the intended audience for this product.
Before you start telling your friends about "those crazy Chinese and their chocolate cheese," we discovered they have chocolate cheese in Wisconsin, America's Dairyland, too. And Michigan, at least twice. And where does Taiwan turn to satisfy it craving for cocoa Camembert? You guessed it: New Zealand.

I have tried this cheese. It tastes like firm chocolate pudding. Not good on its own, but tastes pretty decent toasted over bread or a cracker
... or on chocolate flavoured bread, no doubt.
"But, then again, we don't like sugar sprinkled on top of our sliced tomatoes or Sprite mixed with our red wine."
Why Sprite mixed with red wine sounds so familiar? Oops... Sangria from Spain!
Sprite in Sangria? Which ghetto are you from?
I'm glad you mentioned that they have this cheese in Weisikanxinzhou too! The Wisconsin version is very tasty, actually, and I think they make a similarly textured cheese with strawberry flavor--rather like a dense cream cheese (good spread on bread).
I don't think chocolate and cheese are so difficult to imagine paired together in a delectable way. After all...chocolate cheesecake.
